When a connection is not compliant with the standard SENDXMS specifications of an SMS protocol or when it?s using another protocol (for example, HTTP, SMTP, TCP), Mobile 365s Operator team will develop its own proprietary software, called a LIBSPEC, specifically for that connection.
Location Based Services (LBS)
A range of services that are provided to mobile subscribers based on the geographical location of their handsets within their cellular network. Handsets have to be equipped with a position-location technology such as GPS to enable the geographical-trigger of service(s) being provided. LBS include driving directions, information about certain resources or destinations within current vicinity, such as restaurants, ATMs, shopping, movie theatres, etc. LBS may also be used to track the movements and locations of people, as is being done via parent/ child monitoring services and mobile devices that target the family market.
A Long code is a full MSISDN (or E.164 formatted phone number) that may be used as a sender ID for A2P messaging. In the United States, these may also be referred to as 10DLCs (or 10-Digit Long Codes). See 10DLC.
A Long number is a destination number that messages (SMS) are delivered to, in the format of an MSISDN. As the MSISDN belongs to one operator, the MO routing needs only have one entry for that same operator.

Long Term Evolution, marketed as 4G LTE, is a standard for wireless communication of high-speed data for mobile phones and data terminals. It is based on the GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSPA network technologies, increasing the capacity and speed using a different radio interface together with core network improvements. The standard is developed by the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project).
LTE-Advanced - is the upgraded version of LTE, which increases the stability, bandwidth, and speed of traditional LTE networks. According to 3GPP - "The main new functionalities introduced in LTE-Advanced are Carrier Aggregation (CA), enhanced use of multi-antenna techniques (MIMO) and support for Relay Nodes (RN)".
